Welcome John Caleb...

My girlfriend is a Grandma. Here is the new little one. This was the girls first time holding a newborn. I had to share. He is so cute. He was a month early and still weighed 6 pounds 8 ounces and was 20 inches long.

It's all about the conversation...

Today seemed to be the day where I did alot of talking.
I spent about 1 hr just chatting with my dad. That was nice. We have not done that in a long time. Then I spent about 1 hr chatting with my brother. He is my BIG brother, so that was fun. He was just checking in on his little sis. (Smile)

Then we just spent the last 4 1/2 hrs chatting with Chris g/f's dad Walter. We had a tons of laughs. It was good for the soul.. We seem to have hit it off well. We look forward to the next time we get together..

Thank God it is Friday. My brain had alot of adult stimulation today.. (smile) Now time for bed... :D

My brother
Boys with Uncle James

The kids have friends staying the night... Plus yesterday, I picked up my brother to come visit for the night. We drove about 1hr and 30 min to Palo Alto VA. Then I spent 30 min driving around trying to find the VA. I took one wrong turn and in circles I went. When I finally went to bed, I had a total of 3 hours sleep. I think I finally fell asleep at 2:30 am then I got up at 5:45 am to start the day. We made some waffles, then did chores and played a few rounds of Mexican train. Before we knew, it was time to take my brother home. I am excited to report he is doing good. He still has some issues with his speech, and he still has to go to therapy. So please keep him in your prayers as God lays him on your heart/mind. Yes, I am still going.:) Waiting for dinner to finish cooking and then I am off to bed.. It is calling my name. LOL...

Vets Day and New Friends........

THANK YOU to all the vets who served and are still serving. THANK YOU for fighting for our FREEDOM. May GOD BLESS you and keep you safe.

We had a wonderful relaxing day with our new friends. We met another adoptive family. They have been home for a few weeks with their newest addition. He is 4 but looks like he is 2. Such a cutie. They have lots of kids like us. So it was great to get together and chat with another adult, about adoption stuff. The kids seemed to hit it off well. The girls really enjoyed playing with him. It was so much fun, I look forward to the next time. Thanks Anna, for the adult conversation. You are a woman with lots of wisdom and a great Mom. I am so thankful that God has brought you into our lives. I look forward to a great friendship.

Rocking out to the music... Jay sure is talented, Jake says. Who knows maybe they can start their own band??????

Isn't this the cutest??

Kids having fun and hanging out.

We went through a loaf and a half of bread, some apples and some famous Kool-Aid. Then we made some cookies for dessert.. Yum... Oatmeal,Chocolate chip and raisins. They seem to be a big hit with some of them. I just LOVE them, I need to not make them for a while. :D

Dinner time......

Later that night, I decided to try a new recipe. Thanks Karen. The kids said I need to make Brussel sprouts again. Usually they cry big complaints when I make them. I love them, now with this new recipe they do too. Yeah!! Gotta love your veggies...
