A Blessing
Mike is on vacation for the next 12 days... I haven't even started my honey do list.... He actually has his own.. Today he fixed the girls door... Plus changed 3 bathroom faucets. Plus we had the backyard lights redone...
So what do the kids do on the first day??
Bring home a DOG. Not that we don't have enough of our own. The wanted to give it a nickname. I was like NO WAY!!! We are not attaching to this dog. This has been the 5 dog that we have found since living here. Well, a few of us walked the neighborhood to see if we could find his home. No luck.. Animal Services will not be open till Tuesday. So we set up the kennel in Chris room. Then put flyer's out today. Guess what we found his owner. Yipee!!! I was so happy... :D
Then the kids went to the skate park, We went to the gym... Guess what???? The owner of the Dog brought us a MOVIE gift card. What a blessing.... Come to find out the dog speaks German. No wonder he did not respond to us... The life of a dog... :D

Week in Review
Well, this week has been very busy. I don't think I slept past 5 am all week. I need a nap. LOL...
We had Dentist, ortho appts. Jake had drum lessons. I did a some haircuts for friends. I am saving for an airline ticket to Florida. Julianna had cheer camp for 2 days.
Then the ortho Dr had her Summer Splash Party.
Chris and Julianna are now official. We have a Senior and a Freshman. They have their schedule. We did a tour of the school for Julianna she is so excited about starting High school now. She is growing up. She has only been with us 2.5 years. She has changed so much. She is beautiful. I told her that she needs to be all showered and ready to take a picture. It will be the one in the yearbook. So we Put a little make up on her, straighted her hair. She loved it. So much we could not roll the windows down on the Sub all day. Chris was BIG man on campus. I think he knew everyone. I am glad that he is well liked. I look back over the last 3 years. I am not ready for him to be a Senior. Guess I can't stop that. Oh My!!!
We also did some back to school shopping. School starts in 1 week. I can't believe it. I think we did good. I bought 4 name brand shoes, remember I have teenagers. So it has to be cool. I only spent $150.00. I still need to take 2 more out to get shoes.
Well, here are some pics of the week. Camera is acting funny, or maybe it is me. (Lack of sleep) Some pics came out, some yeah right!!!
Pics... cheer camp.. The Freshman team won.. Most improved TEAM.. Way to go..

Jelly Belly
We went on a tour to see how Jelly Beans are made. It is pretty amazing. I mostly remember all the sugar I was inhauling. They tell you all about the jelly beans, so by the time you are done. You are so ready to try them all. I tired Dark chocolate. "Yummy" The kids tried different ones. Mostly the gummies. I let them each pick their favorite thing.
So here a few pics...

Cornfest
It is that time of year again. To have famous Brentwood CORN.... Yeah we live out here in corn town. LOL... I was the only one who ate the corn. Everyone else did not want any. There is nothing like Brentwood Corn, to get your mouth watering.
Mike and Olya did not come. Mike was tired from being up all night working, plus he had to run an errand. So they took the Bike and had a nice ride, just the 2 of them. Chris was working the cornfest, JD said it was to HOT. Which once out there I have to agree. So I took the other 4 kiddos and took them to play.
Here are a few of those pics above...
I was dizzy from just watching them.
We had a great time walking and talking. Checking out all the booths that they had. We left with a bag full of stuff, most of it FREE... Nadya was out scouting the booths that gave free things. So we left with a lot of candles. I told them they could use them for teacher gifts. SCORE!!!
One of the things that they tried was the Marine Core pull up bar. They all recieved something. Toma lasted the longest with the girls. Jacob did 7 Marine pullups. Does he have what it takes at 12 yr old??
A's v's Angels
We took the girls to their first Baseball game. They seemed to like it. Julianna was the only one who was ready to go home before the game got exciting. She did have fun trying to look through the binoculars. Our friend kept putting his hat over them. She finally figured it out. It was pretty funny. They had the screams down when the A's got their double.. I guess it was because we let them eat lots of candy and peanuts.. We even seen some fly.

Smile
Well, I am happy to report that we have smiles. Especially from Nadya. I do not know what happened at camp. She has come home a different girl. She is very helpful in the kitchen and always laughing and smiling. Here are some smiles that we caught. We were watching a movie together. Just enjoying some silliness. Then of course trying to get some smiles of Toma too. Enjoy.
What do you do when it is 100'+
