Happy Birthday....... TO ME!!!!!

The Day August 29, 1969..... 39 years ago... I was born to Maryethel and Gary... I can not believe that many years have gone by.. I know I am still young. :)

We celebrated the day with.....

I woke up to this. What a special treat to wake up to. I often leave messages for the kids on their mirrors in the bathroom. It was a nice treat and a beautiful card. It says your a great mom. Also a Freak!! Which means she loves me. :D....... I think.... Or maybe I'm cool or uncool... Who knows. I just love the thought that was put into this card.. It brought tears to my eyes.

I used my FREE coffee coupon for "IT'S A GRIND.." YUM.....

While Mike and I were out shopping the kids decorated the house with Happy Bday signs all these Roses. They went to the neighbors house and asked if they could pick some for my Bday. How sweet of them. I love Roses..

A Crowning moment.. This crown that blinks.. :) Was bought by my Mom for my last Bday.. My Mom always tried to keep the little kid alive, in all of us. Since she was not able to be here to help celebrate. I decided to wear it, in remembrance of her.

My Bday present from Mike was he cooked dinner for me. He asked me what I would like. I told him I did not really care. I just wanted to have tri tip. So he BBQ tri tip, had twice baked potatoes, salad and homemade salsa. It was yummy. I ate too much..

Chris and Jen made a cake for me... Spice cake with cream cheese frosting. Yes, it was from a box. I was blessed that they made it for me. How special I felt.. Then I got my favorite all time cake. Angel Food. It has been my favorite since the 4th grade. We put fresh strawberries and cool whip on top... Delicious....

Posing time. SMILE... Your on Camera.

These are the things that the kids got for me.
Nadya made me this booklet that had multipy pages of pictures of the family, kids and different animals. Each page said something different. She put alot of work into it. I just love it.

I had a very blessed day. I enjoyed all of it. I was tired.. I hit the bed and slept like a baby all night. Tomorrow we plan on making it another Beach trip...

Way to go Great job!!!!

Well, my guy weighed in at 88 pounds for his first match. The first guy was 88 pounds. Around the same height and the 2nd match the guy was 86 pounds, but was about a head taller than Jake.I am amazed at how well Jake did. He has some skills. Thank you Lord for keeping him safe. It is not just me his mom saying that. He was very nervous in the beginning, but he did well. He won the 1st match, with a PIN... Way to go! Then he had his 2nd match. It was 2-3 Not Jake's favor. We could not believe it. He was laying the kid out on the mat.. We need to learn the rules of wrestling. Before this mom, contests anything. :D

He did great. Oh, I said that. At the end of the evening. Jake tells me. You know mom if I would of did Football. I would not be doing wrestling. I tell him, thank God he is the one who made it happen. I think he likes wrestling. So now to juggle 2 sports when HS comes..

I can't wait till the next match...

A Nice Day..

I went and had breakfast with a few ladies from my church. We were celebrating August Birthdays. There were 4 of us with Aug B-Days. I had a great time, of laughing, talking and just fellowship. I received some very nice B-Day cards. Thank you everyone. I could not believe some of the nice things that they said. What a blessing to receive such notes. I am sure blessed by the ladies in my church. Love you guys.
Thanks for helping me celebrate. I will cherish this moment forever.

I just love my church Family..

We have been at our church for 12 years. I just love our church family. This is the first church that we feel connected with. The love us just as we are. They help us grow, they hurt with us, laugh with us. Mike and I have been on youth staff for 10 yrs I think. We have had some hard times, some good times. One of the hard times was when God called our Youth Pastor away... He was such a great example. His wife was such a great example. When he was first hired he was single. So we got to see him and his wife walk through the whole dating scene. I am so proud of the example they set for our young people. Well, they are moving on again and we had the honor of seeing them off. He came and spoke on Sunday. What an amazing message. It goes along with all that we have been hearing the last few months. God is so good.. After church we went out to lunch with the church family. It was so good to see them. They now have a brand new baby girl, Juliana. She is so precious. They are such good parents. I love to watch them dote on her. It is amazing to see PA go from being single, to married and now a Daddy.
We will be praying for God's grace on your family as you make this new change. We love you guys.

Family fun..

A DAY AT THE BEACH.......

Sand art...What a nice surprise on the camera. My daughter Toma is so sweet.
I have been wanting to take the kids to the beach all summer. Mike has not had a weekend off, where there was not something else on the schedule. Finally... So we headed to the beach. What fun we had. We took over 400 pictures. It is so hard to pick which ones to post. Trying to give you all a glimpse into our day.

This is the first time the girls have been to the beach. They were somewhat excited, somewhat not.. I have to say after they got into the water. We could not get them out.. They would change, change and change. Then came the point the got tired of changing. So they stayed in their dry cloths. We all know what happens after that. Yep, Those were wet too. Oh boy, Water... So much fun..

We took our lunch and hung out in the back of Dad's truck. Instead of eating in the sand. Playing on the beach sure makes you hungry.. I packed lots of stuff we normally don't eat. The kids were excited for that too. You know potato chips, big deli sandwiches, candy, soda. Of course I packed some fruit, veggies and water.. But we still had alot of that when we got home.

The day started with the sun not really shining. By mid-day it was shining. The kids want to stay all day next time.

The kids dug in the sand. My kids are older so it has been along time since they played in the sand. So we did not have any sand toys. They still managed to dig. They made big holes. Which I fell in. Nadya did not find that funny. Well, the fact I fell in it. She did laugh. Not the fact, she had to start over.

They found as much seaweed and such sea creatures as they could. They even had swinging fights with the stuff. JD got himself good on his chest. OUCH!!! They made chairs to sit on/in..

So then it was time to pack up and head home. The kids kept asking can we stay longer. Now they want to go back. I am up for it. I did forgot how much sand you bring home with you. I am still finding it on the laundry room floor. Next time we will change and leave it all in the garage.

Mike went and changed. While on his way back he found this wonderful sign.. I was Oh MY!!!, Well, we already swam.. Thank God no extra friends...
